I’ve made a post that got a lot of boosts and likes before but I wanna say it again cause it’s relevant.
Isn’t it kind of fucked up that they tell a ton of kids going into college without any idea of what to use it for that it’ll “get them better job opportunities”. College has ceased being about education. It is just another machine in this factory of capitalism meant to pump out more workers, get more money out of you, take away all of your energy so you can be a good little worker.
Can I tell you all a secret?
The only reason I was able to pass this semester is being I was cheating. They did not give me enough time to read and study for the 13 assignments due every week for 4 classes. On top of work. On top of life. On top of my smashed mental health. I had to cheat to keep up. And that doesn’t even warrant perfect grades. I have B’s. And cheating ain’t easy, I can tell you that.
Assignments included multiple tests and quizzes every week (some classes had multiples themself), projects, discussion assignments, labs, modules specific work too. They literally **increased** the amount of work needed to be turned in when the pandemic hit. Did you know that? They literally thought “oh they’ll be home the whole time so it’ll be easier”
