Seriously, kernel hacking is like living in the bloodborne universe once you've acquired a certain amount of insight and eaten at least one umbilical cord of a great one.
@Fuego we have a vendor that’s made on the order of thousands of changes to the kernel (as measured by the macros that wrap their own code). It’s like staring into the heart of madness.
@Fuego they said that letting the customers download it made it GPL compliant. Coworker once asked what would happen if he just put it online. A very awkward silence ensued.
