Windows 2000 was the pinnacle of efficient Windows operating systems. It's been a downhill free-fall since reaching that very high peak
I just wish it didn't result in landfills packed full of phones made useless by mandatory security updates.
Security is important, but moreso is having air we can breathe and phones that poor people can afford to own without having to replace them every year or two, y'know?

@Fuego @jk Right, and I get that, but I refuse to believe that the reduction in speed
and responsiveness of basic functions is even substantially due to increased security.
Example: Opening the camera app & taking a photo with my Nexus 6 used to take me approximately 3 seconds. It now takes me between 20 and 30 seconds.
I have a hard time believing that was the result of a security update. It seems far more likely to be the result of badly written code that runs especially poorly on my device.
