Thought experiment: What if it were made illegal for parent companies to brand their products without the parent company name listed first?
@mawr The real eye opener to me, during a few business classes in college, was learning just how much of the world is owned by Tata or Unilever, and just how easy it is for them to file for a new corporation anywhere.
After that, it became pretty easy to realize we're all just line items in one or more corrupt billionaire's spreadsheets.

@mawr Though maybe the better education was spending a couple months playing EVE, reading up on how players exploit its economy and learned to hide their assets, then realizing the real world works that way too.
