@porsupah Over here, places are reopening despite the virus being uncontained and peaking again. Our federal political class has chosen to give up or actively sabotage efforts, and it's been up to state and local governments to contain the thing.
It's... bad.
I've missed going places too, but I recognize that the goal of many of our politicians here is to let denial set in and let people die. And it's completely preventable, they just... want this.

@Goldkin It's.. baffling.
Mercifully, I was able to place a good groceries order yesterday, so that'll be coming along on Thursday.
Normally, I love going in to shop personally, for random inspiration, and the occasional marked down bargain - but now, eh, a bit less so. (Though, oddly, once I got to the big supermarkets last time, people were /then/ sometimes wearing masks)
It's so difficult. Whilst I'm a very shy sort, I'm also very social. (Though, almost all of my social circle is multiple time zones away)
If there were only a general acceptance of masks being a good idea, at least.. but that'd make for unfavorable political optics, suggesting there was still something to be concerned about.
