Doing minor adjustments on an older avatar project ahead of Furality.
Decided instead of doing a whole new model, I'd revisit with a blendshape similar to what folks modding avatar bases do. Added a bit more volume and fixed some of the flatness of the original version.
The temptation has been there to do super ostentatious edits and start over from scratch, but nah. Need to value keeping things current and making small adjustments over time.
This is weirdly informed by just adding stuff to my character in FFXIV. I've been whittling on the same character look for over 10y, so why not single avatars too.
If adding a single earring in FFXIV to my character there can cause me to rethink how it complements an entire look for like, a day, I can probably do a bit better with incrementally improving my Unity projects.
