Living under a rapidly-consolidating authoritarian regime sucks, and I wish I knew how to contingency plan around it better.

The best I’ve come up with is setting aside some funds to help friends through losing their insurance and incomes, and to keep supporting my reps in their efforts to speed up inquiries into public corruption.

So he intends to cover up the whole thing, provide enough plausible deniability to help spin the narrative, push this all into the courts, and delay through 2020. Cool cool cool.

I am trying to see how getting him on the record now and subpoenaing Mueller in May isn’t playing an extremely dangerous game of chicken. I understand it’s the correct response to backstop a court challenge, but that kind of doesn’t matter if they dismantle the institutions in the meantime.

So I’m wrapping up a trip for work, and I had a strange query for folks that travel, especially to the Bay Area.

This trip, I’ve noticed that multiple indoor spaces (my hotel, restaurants, the office building for my employer) now have omnipresent low frequency noise generation. It’s audible to me because my hearing dips in the low range, and noise levels in these closed spaces have notably been reduced.

Is building-scale active noise cancellation now a thing?

@troodon Merlwyb is amazing, and whoever did her initial voicework deserves an award. (I don’t know how far you are in story, so not sure what more to say other than furious nodding.)

I guess what I’m saying here is that this process is actively being managed as a coverup now, and it’s really instructive on how lies are sold into print.
