I wish I had even 1% of the professionalism and integrity that Fiona Hill is showing on the stand today. Total badass.
Listening to this is also instructive in how aggressive sea-lioning and repetition is used by Rs to attempt to control the process. Summarily thanking and dismissing them through their own words is so incredibly effective.

Not immediate or urgent, but I want to be able to pass these contacts along if they’re needed.

It was at this point that, as all dreams do, things went sideways based on snatches of half-remembered popular media. I think a crew was sent to clear the snow and disavow the existence of snow drakes (etc). It morphed into a B movie plot by the time I woke up.
So the first part is definitely better.

Dreamed that a rather large ice wyrm had settled in in our forest. It took out a few trees and delighted itself in chasing the local squirrels and mice without harming them, indiscriminately leaving a patchwork of snow and splintered trees in its wake.
We couldn’t figure out what to do about this turn of events. We’d just about run out of ideas when its Mother returned, scooping it up like a mewling cub.
We parlayed with her to bring snow just a little earlier this year. She obliged.

The dragon clung to the high branch, whimpering loudly.
The knights were perplexed; this is not what they had expected when called out to deal with a Dragon Problem. But it explained why they were instructed to bring a sturdy ladder.
Sir Gwen volunteered, removing her armor and climbing up to coax it down.
The rest stretched out a net in case they fell.
She inspired just enough bravery that it climbed down by itself.
The ladder helped.

I'm seeing a few new people cautiously say things like "let's enjoy this place before the bad people get here" and I just want to say:
Don't worry! They're already here! But thanks to the heroic work of your instance moderators and admins, you will never see them. And if they do show up then your mods will get rid of them: unlike Twitter, the reporting functions here are reviewed by real people who don't care about turning a profit, and instead focus on enforcing community guidelines
