I hate that people (specifically on the internet and in Silicon Valley) have somehow come up with the idea that being rude to minorities and making jokes about things that should NEVER be joked about is edgy and cool. It's just being an assholes for the purpose of being an asshole, which is never okay. This is coming from somebody who used to be an asshole just for the purpose of being an asshole. Hell, some of the shit I did and said is probably worse than what these people have done 1/?

but I've come back from that, and I'm proud of it. These people need to change themselves. They need to change their culture. Everything they do is something that they do to get a reaction.
