i think i wanna do one of those "media finished in 2021" thread things

so far this year i've watched: the Gundam Thunderbolt movies, LOTR extended edition, The Black Hole (1979), Kill Bill volumes 1 and 2, Godzilla 2014 again, finished reading: Jigokuraku

just finished Cloverfield! Least convincing found footage film ever. Yes im sure these random 20somethings in 2008 had a handheld 1080p camera.
good disaster/kaiju movie though

Finished The Shining.
it was good but its also Of Its Time in many ways. its funny how nicholson looks deranged from the get go despite only going bonkers later

in the spirit of valentine's day i watched Doctor Sleep, the 2019 sequel to the shining (moreso the novel than the movie). Very interesting movie but if you're looking for scares this aint it lol. for the most part at least

uhhhh i mean it was cute and funny and gay and at least one lesbian couple got together but the main couple didnt in the end so im feeling Complicated

oh yeah finished Firefly and Serenity today. series was okay. don't see what the fuss was about. the movie sucked tho

starship troopers. Really fun, I enjoyed the satire as well

gone in 60 seconds (2000) ok this one sucked actually

the italian job (1969) that was really fun! and oh so painfully of its time sometimes. benny hill is in this and its exactly how you'd expect that to go
