Say what you will about Jeremy Clarkson, but he punched Piers Morgan in the face and got away with it

Yes I do enjoy the television programme Richard and Mortimer, I find that it stimulates my intellect

The DOSBox project started in 2002, which means that in three years, ie by 2022, the project will have been going for longer than the supported lifespan of MS-DOS. It's already far outlived the 14 year period (1981-1995) when MS-DOS was the primary IBM PC operating system.

It's very, very cool that my headphones didn't charge last night even though I plugged them in

extremely long toot about Armistice Day and Remembrance Day, I'd appreciate boosts on this one

Today is Armistice Day and Remembrance Day, a holiday Americans might not know about. 101 years ago today, the worst war in recorded history up to that point was ended. At that point, France was in ashes, and 1,200 square kilometres were deemed forever incompatible with life. It was hoped the world would never see war on this scale again.

It would.

The soldiers who fought in the first World War and the second World War fought against imperialism and fascism. Many died from horrific injuries, such as shell wounds and mustard gas poisoning. Those that survived these injuries would become pioneering subjects of what we now know as restorative plastic surgery, something which gives thousands of burn (and other disfiguring injury) victims greatly improved quality of life. We must be careful not to glorify these soldiers, because what they did had no glory. There is nothing glorious about war, and there will never be anything glorious about war. These brave men, women, and surely enbies suffered in silence, with only a few accounts of their bravery making it out of the front. Most who survived the war would elect not to talk about their experiences. We don't know everything of what happened, but even so we must be careful never to repeat it again. We must end this age of war.
