I awoke... no, awoke would be the wrong term... I came into existence in a dark place. To even call it dark would be an understatement. It wasn't simply a place without light, it was a place completely without the concept of light. I don't even know if my eyes were open. I don't even know if I have eyes. I don't know how to feel very well. I think that I feel air, coming in and out of me. Rushing in, rushing out. But maybe air isn't actually going in and out. Maybe I'm just imaging it.

I wonder if I could write a REALLY short story in 500 characters.

The world needs more slightly cold, dark, quiet places.
