Welp, there goes $1,200 towards a new computer. Still have to pay for the video card and PSU (another $320 or so), but with any luck I'll have everything ready to install before the end of January! At long last my 10 year old machine will be replaced with newer technology! With potential to be upgraded beyond what it will have! Board I bought just needs a BIOS update to handle any new Ryzen CPUs that come out, as opposed to my current board which is maxed out (except on RAM, but that's old tech)
Now comes the fun part: dumping all available funds into my credit card to recover from this over the next few months...
