Have you ever wondered what causes sleep to happen? Like what steps does your body have to take to actually enter sleep state? It's not like you can consciously will your body to sleep, like flipping a switch on a computer. It's clearly something that happens on a subconscious level, but what does it entail?

@Kilroy I mean, it's shifts in the cascades of activity that make up brain waves. Differences in how actions propagate between neurons due to changes in neurotransmitter densities and so forth.

Emergent behaviour - relatively simple changes in conditions leading to radical differences in final expression!
