Furry "drama" involving Nazis (-)
@Finfell@dragon.style @salameleon The fundamental difficulty you're having believing that a given person could be *that big an asshole* is, I suspect, behind 95% of what gets labeled as "whataboutism" or "apologism" or looking for justifications for white supremacists or the like. And I think that's really unfortunate, because *sincerely good-natured people who are boggled at secondhand encounters with people who aren't* tend to become Anger Magnets from The Woke as a result.

@salameleon @Finfell@dragon.style It's understandable from both perspectives - most people really aren't anywhere near that foul and it's reasonable to prefer to give people a chance to prove that they're not, but someone already in the crosshairs of someone (or a group) who *is* that odious is going to have exactly zero patience left for explaining that, no, this isn't a stretch.
They'll make mistakes too, because they will uncharitably interpret someone clumsy. It sucks.
