Re: the thing I want to talk about - I'm not going follow up and post anything about it right now. I'm operating on not enough sleep and a lot of emotions.

If I'm going to say what I have to say, it really needs to be as couched in reality and not feelings as I can get it. That's not gonna happen today.

Today was a struggle. Made harder because someone I care about missed a crucial step in his morning self care and I spent the day keeping things moving and flowing.

Now it's 9:45, and I'm very low emotional energy but I still have things to do. I have laundry that needs to be taken care of. Everything got done, and I'm carving a little bit of time out for me for self care, and then I'm going to finish said laundry and go to bed.

Least I can say the weekend was productive. >.>'

There's so much going on in this movie that I love, mostly its representation of a self-effacing action movie that still manages to avoid delving into realms of humor that are intensely problematic.

And they absolutely got Domino's luck power perfect. Right down to landing on a goddamned giant inflatable panda. <3

And so so so many really great jabs into the comics industry. o.o

Today is just one of those days where everything costs an extra spoon.

I find out the *entire* reason he called was to tell me to buy a graphic novel we were probably already going to get but wasn't out yet.

This is one of those I have to laugh at because the other option is just to rage incoherently and this guy was too clueless to merit such a response.

Him: "You guys have a book that came out this week. It's got Cable in it?"
Me: "Yeah, I think it's called Cable Last Hope?"
Him: "That's the one, did you know there's a second volume that's already out?"
Me: "Uh, it came out this week, so I don't think there's a second volume out yet."
Him, reading further down the amazon page: "Oh, wow that comes out in december. You should totally get that."
Me: "...."

Today is one of those marathon kinda days. The customers are slow enough that I'm keeping up with the pace of the new things that require my attention. And doubly fortunately, my polycule has been super wonderful and flexible and has done a number of things that is helping this week look a lot less stressful. <3

Today is my day to knock out a bunch of projects and I'm doing okay so far! I'm also kind of hanging out in the general vicinity of the store just in case my employee needs me (cause this is his last official week of training).

So far I have:
- Sent emails regarding tabletop day and Free comic book day
- Designed assets for TTD and FBCD
- had a lovely conversation with @emanate about setting up a budget with them
- Set up an advertising campaign for our Prerelease events!

I'm kinda struggling this morning (cause Mondays) to motivate myself. I've done a fair bit so far though, including putting in an order for some very long-needed hardware upgrades here at the store.

I think it's just one of those days where I can't look at discourse either, which isn't helping given all the stuff that went down with witches.town.

I really kind of want to get my ears pierced soon. It’s been a thought in the back of my head for the last few days. I’ve gotten a good recommendation, all I really need to do is find the time.
