I'm trying to decide what RPG I should start in on next and might be overthinking it.
Witcher 3 is on the metaphorical shelf but it just has a cloud hanging over it. I don't know if I'll be motivated to like it.
@KommaChameleon i was so massively insulted by the first that i honestly didn’t touch the others >.>
@Oneironott I hear even Witcher fans think of the first two games as not quite hitting the mark, besides the whole card thing
@Oneironott @KommaChameleon I've really really been enjoying 3. I haven't even played the other 2 so... idk, I think it's good and stands alone and I like it even though it's hard to keep all the characters straight in my head
@KommaChameleon i really liked it, enjoyed the variety of quests and also enjoyed geralt ‘s friends and enemies? lot of interesting to me characters. but if u can’t stand the systems.. it requires spending a long time with them. horse riding and exploring were really enjoyable for me, combat was fun when i got used to it
Expected +: Geralt as a character, big fancy wilderness, interesting creatures and monster lore, wandering for side objectives, non constant fighting, ability to talk to others about a blockbuster game
-: load times, spells, gathering for alchemy, leveling system, that uncomfortable “are CDPR’s writers milkshake ducks” thing, too much time in maps
