Devil May Cry 5 Spoilers
So the next game is gonna be about Nero kicking ass with Lady and Trish, right
re: Devil May Cry 5 Spoilers
It feels a little bit slim on the first playthrough, but I can’t really be sure if that’s not just me having more skill in the genre than I did when I played dmc3. 3 and 4 both get a lot of their length from filler bits so at least 5 doesn’t have that problem.
5 does repeatedly give you new weapons or movesets and drops you into a situation where you can’t easily experiment with em. Dante getting Cerberus immediately before his second hardest boss fight is the grossest example.

@KommaChameleon
They may have felt less compelled to have experimenting-friendly fights after gaining weapons due to the existence of the new training room?

Jokes aside, this game’s story actually does some bold stuff. Like you have the franchise’s two most popular characters sealed in the hell dimension and the cool new PC you introduced no longer physically exists. The heroes actually get WORSE at working as a team as events proceed. The ego clash has bigger stakes than the giant tree that feeds on human blood.
