@vahnj​ My sibling's account @fairywren appears to have been deleted/blocked but we have no idea why. Do you know what's going on with that?

@vahnj Hello! I'm having a technical issue here on Mastodon and I was wondering if, as an admin, you'd be able to help. I tried following my sibling @fairywren when I first joined and they had locked their account at the time, so they could review and authorise or dismiss new followers. The follow button's stuck as an hourglass for me now, but Wren never received a notification and doesn't have the option to approve me as a follower. Any idea what's wrong or how to fix it?

@fairywren It still says I'm awaiting approval to follow you. :(

Me: "We're homeless."
Government website: "Come see us in the office."
In office: "Actually talk to social care."
After talking to social care: "Actually see us in the office again."
Before we've come into the office again: "Actually see this charity."
After talking to the charity: "Actually see us in the office again."
In the office, again: "Actually come back tomorrow."

I swear they're wasting their own time and money to avoid having to help us.

I love having a welfare state and all, but could it actually act like it's trying to help people instead of seeming like it's being forced against its will and wasting everyone's time and money to try and avoid helping people? The kafkaesque bullshit I've had to go through in order to do what should be simple things is ridiculous.

Ey, I'm Krall (or James, if you prefer). I don't use social media much but my sibling @fairywren invited me to join mastodon, so I thought I'd try it out! My interests include fantasy, sci-fi, history, alternate history, gaming (especially indie games), and art. I do make art myself on occasion, usually just sketches or maps/flags for fictional worlds.
