There are similarities between what I really liked about the game store as a kid, what I like about browsing actual physical bookstores, furry cons, and what I like about the internet (what kicked off all this thinking was someone's toot about how a targeted marketing focused web is nowhere near as much fun).
These are; a chance of random discoveries and feelings that a greater community with similar likes and thought patterns exists, even when I'm not participating.
