this leads me into wanting to blather how dinosaurs are one of the best parts of aging.
I first learned about dinosaurs long ago when they were massive green or dull brown reptiles, and that was AWESOME*.
Now, dinosaurs are a diverse clade with all sorts of little feathery Yixian Formation fauna as well as even more big ceratopsians and species which changed bone structure as they aged. Dinosaurs got EVEN AWESOMER.
How freakin' awesome are dinosaurs going to be by the time I'm actually old?
* okay so Charles Knight was showing really active fast moving tyrannosaurids in the 1890s and Ostrom and Bakker started really turning out papers when there were brand-new Fleetwood Mac tracks on the radio.
