The comic thing connects to more "I don't know where I'm going in furry."
Even during the tiny stint of time in the nineties that I was loosely a Burned Fur (it took nothing for me to give up on it) I still felt There's Not Enough Non-Sexual Stuff in Fandom, rather than There's Too Much Sex. Furry can be a lot more sex-positive than a lot of mainstream porn; furry porn is largely a good thing (though I worry some attitudes are damaging and will lead to people getting hurt).

So I want to go someplace other than violence, more slice-of-life maybe; and here, too, my storytelling skills don't quite make it, or at least not yet.

If all you ever do with your microwave is zap popcorn, microwave popcorn is awesome and you're still not really getting the most of your microwave.
I'd love to use furry art to make even brief stories about other things; raves, bookstores, hikes, etc.
I'm great with rakshasas and gnolls and weresharks beating the everliving bejeebers out of each other as fantasy, but the moment they're tiger, hyena and shark anthros, it feels off somehow, like fist fights at a rave.
