huh. age.

1 week till 29.

huh.

When I was younger I was looking forward to aging, then for a while between 20-25 or so I hated it.

At this point it just feels like another tick along the clock? Another moment where the hour and minute hand line up before de-syncing again.

Maybe I'm just too tired and riding in a low key depression right now that I just don't really feel much of anything that's not external influences.

@Draekos without big milestones like registering for the draft or getting to drink legally, it becomes less significant imho. And I think part of it is age and personal experience; when you’re 8 or 20, every year is a huge chunk of your life. As you age each year is a smaller chunk and there are more personal milestones; the year you started therapy, moved states, got hitched etc.

... and then there’s if your actual birthdays tended to be BAD when you were a kid...

@Leucrotta <_< I guess part of it for me is that like, actual dates of events are the first thing to slip off in my memory, so anniversaries are.... pointless?

I've already settled on my bird and I sharing a birthday because I've forgotten her actual one <_<
