On a whim I went to Snoqualmie Falls, which I’d heard about- but I was honestly in town to look at their railway museum! Two trails run down to the river from the big dramatic (crowded!) outlook, and one’s fairly tucked away so I walked down then up the “use this if you’re sure you’re in good health” warning trail. Down at the bottom, you really *could* take a kayak out!

Here’s a selfie (so eye contact), my glasses should give you an idea just how much spray the falls kick up!

The most surprising thing about the Falls I *didn’t* photograph; there’s a bridge where the road crosses the river a fairly short distance before the Falls and it’s steadily moving and very calm despite what lies ahead! (Off topic, I think that trail made my legs sore.)
