I wish I knew what to do with all the damn rage. The Buddha was right, dropping the hot coal is best if you can’t throw it, but I’d still like to throw the coal sometimes and he’s vague about how to drop the coal AND feel okay about it.
@Leucrotta In the short term, some of the best therapy I've ever had is getting a whole bunch of cheap (like, 10-25 cents each) glassware or teacups from a thrift store, set up a tarp outside a building, and just throw the glassware at the tarp with as much anger as you can pack into each throw.
It's not a long-term solution, but it gets the anxious "I have to do something right now or I'm going to explode" energy out and lets you think about next steps.
