food prep a looza
so I was overly enthusiastic and bought a batch of beets, stew beef, red onions, and I took down chicken thighs to thaw, for beet salad/beef with tofu/pickled onions/tarragon chicken. You can see where this is going?
This evening I put on Seventeen Seconds, put up the chicken to marinate, and I'm in the process of making borscht, which will also use up this half a cabbage that I've had for a while. The Cure isn't especially appropriate borscht-making-music, so I've now listened to Janet Jackson's "Nasty" because she starts by saying give me a beet.
