The problem with “what would you do with Elon Musk’s money?” is that assumes I’d stay me, rather than however I might act if my net worth were over half the GDP of Germany. For all I know ultra-super-über-rich-me WOULD be blind to “I could end homelessness or hunger etc,” y’know? My bias here is I don’t think anyone should have that much money, that it’s not healthy for anyone. It’s basically unaccountable, unquestionable power; I wouldn’t trust Albert Einstein with it.
@Leucrotta I was talking about how they could fix Batman with a friend and he talked a lot about how even if Bruce was a dyed in the wool commie he'd still probably run into things like Waynecorp's corporate board stopping him to ensure their paydays
not to mention charities that will lie to his face about the good things they're doing
@chimerror I feel like if you have *that* much privilege, even if you're a saint you're going to simply not think of stuff. F'rex funding college scholarships for the best students in a ghetto doesn't actually fix anything.
I'd argue Bruce has a particularly big blind spot because he already *knows* how he's fighting crime in Gotham, and he really is putting his ass on the line.
I think you just handed me why he doesn't do big economic reform stuff, he literally hasn't thought about it.
