How do I say this.

The dead are dead, their suffering is over. But there were a lot more kids who survived this, and now the PTSD will inform the rest of their years in school, which is not necessarily a safe bet for recovery. And if it isn't - and they've already just lived through The Adult Authorities Are Happy To Say Platitudes But Aren't Going to Help, and they'll be under attack if they even vaguely try to speak up about what happened - some of them will kill themselves in high school and others will push through with this screwing them up the rest of their lives.

What I survived is similar but mild sauce by comparison. I have real mixed feelings about gun control and maybe that's another post but the thing I'm 3000% sure of is that nobody in that school deserved this.
