Kinda tempted to make a Twitter account just to see what it's even LIKE before it completely implodes.

re: liveposting Twitter signup

You do not need to fucking CONGRATULATE me on doing that. Get out of here with this condescending Microsoft shit.

@frostwolf Okay, so now you're seeing what I was on about all this time; if you're a Twitter user, you probably are there to keep up with friends, you *might* be there to browse cat photos or whatever, and the site will dump suggestions at you constantly to try and get some sort of consistent feedback for the algorithm to use.

re: liveposting Twitter signup

@Leucrotta Ugh, yeah.

There's even an entire "Explore" tab that's nothing BUT that kind of suggestion-pushing; now I see where Masto 4 got the weird "#" icon for the search tab on mobile (hi it's search not #??).

re: liveposting Twitter signup

@Leucrotta "show 114 Tweets" uh what the fuck, no wonder that "slow mode" thing is a feature here (we never saw the point of it because we never had that sort of overwhelm).

We're only following one account! Where do those posts even COME from?? Twitter is gonna be fucking WEIRD.

re: liveposting Twitter signup

@frostwolf Try to display tweets in chronological order (it's under settings, I forget where), because the company really wants you to see what's popular (which will slam you with stuff other than what you really came here for).

re: liveposting Twitter signup

@Leucrotta Oh, HUH. Didn't think about it showing older posts as "new".
