@LexYeen I saw a couple of clips with the Stellan Skarsgard character - one of them had the sort of dialogue that Lucas would *try* to write, only actually well written, and the other was a narrow escape from an Imperial cruiser. Both gave me the impression (I think you and someone else talked about the series here) that it's very much about resistance to a big, well off space empire, rather than that being background to explain larger than life pulp heroics.
@Leucrotta It's so good that my anarchist ass was surprised Disney funded it. And it's so good it answers the question of "How did they get money from Disney for this?" *in its own text* by showing that sometimes all people care about is making a number go up in an absolutely *gobsmacking* arc near the end of the first season.
And yes, we may know where Cassian's story ends going into it, but all that means is nearly *everybody else* is fair game for the cruel hand of fate.
