watching the "Thor" fanvid for "Threw It On the Ground" reminded me of when I was actually stoked for new Marvel superhero movies. Thanks to the subjectivity of memory it feels profoundly in the past (so not "that was ages ago" like when I was looking forward to new Jurassic World movies, but the same vague ages ago as John Carter of Mars or Kung Fu Panda II).

@Leucrotta I'm working through them now, late, and I'm broadly enjoying them but I can't really imagine being super excited for any of them to come out c.c

Also I only found out Ant-Man was Edgar Wright after-ish the fact and holy fuck though.

@jacel I love superhero comics, so my initial response was pretty comic-book fan; "oh wow, a movie about the Avengers! Oh wow, Thor sequel which has Malekith and dark elves!" Etc.

Having this become this societal pillar I'm supposed to adore definitely soured me on the ideal, and part is that I really didn't like Infinity War (can explain if wanted). For all I know the latest Thor and Doctor Strange movies are COMPLETELY my thing and I have nearly no interest in finding out.
