Having a tiny panic attack because I just realized that I agreed to teach a class on Iris Murdoch next semester. I am used to teaching old White rationalists who are as far removed from my reality as can be. How am I supposed to stand in front of a classroom talking about a bisexual philosopher who writes novels? That's way too personal!

Do cis men who teach philosophy regularly feel like they might just as well be talking about themselves?? I am kinda freaked out by this.

@stjaerna I assume yes, if it works like people learning or practicing psychology.
