I keep reading how, once people get over about 25 years old, they stop looking for new music.

I'm well over 25 years old. And I'm still actively looking for new music.

I admit that the broad style of music that I listen to hasn't changed much -- it's always deeply harmonic material, especially guitar-driven, light on the lyrics. But right now, my iTunes tells me that I have over 2,400 songs that I haven't listened to... and that last month, I listened to 138 songs that were new to me.

Just how weird AM I?

@Chip_Unicorn I’ve been trying to explore ever since I left home and therefore had options. I’ve been finding that my consistent taste reflects broad characterizations (heavily instrumental, usually faster paced) from childhood more than specifics, so I suspect *that’s* a more accurate appraisal of how someone likes stuff they grew up with as they age.
