The borzoi specialty show was a lot of fun! The puppies definitely had some wild moments in the ring, but both judges were kind with good senses of humor, and helped them understand and get comfortable with the experience. I really appreciate the patient, gentle judging.
The three boys from my litter were the only 9-12 month dogs entered; They placed Neo, Mako, Trout in the morning and Mako, Trout, Neo in the afternoon. Possibly mostly on behavior.
Trout decided to do a spectacular bounce and playbow right in front of the judge when, ideally, the dog stops and stands at his best posture. The judge was highly entertained, I took him back and redid our approach, it was really cute.
