Well yes and no, my neurotypical friend. It's NOT even vaguely about gratifying, it's that there's someone who NEEDS me to solve math problems or who NEEDS me to help them in the kitchen or who NEEDS me to work overtime hauling stuff in a warehouse or who NEEDS me to pay rent which they've just increased etc, etc, etc. I am trying to survive, not to surf waves of serotonin here.
