because in the city, you don't just have miles of open road to make you fall asleep

and you're going slower, things are slower but denser and you have to stop at lights and shit.

@frost yes and no. The Bay Area is like LA or around Puget Sound, a large enough area it’s worthwhile but not getting into big road-trips like you’re worried about. BUT there are places you’d rather use transit since parking is a real pain, like downtown Seattle or Berkeley.

@Leucrotta oh neat! Yeah where we grew up, it was half an hour of sleepy rural backroads to get anywhere.

Oogh, parking... yeah we're super glad we don't have to deal with that right now.

@Leucrotta If we had a car, we could just Go On A Drive and enjoy driving, and we could go to faraway places for Craigslist things.

... and it'd be a modicum of shelter if we wind up homeless.
