oh hey @Leucrotta, lookin' up those coffee shops you mentioned!
one of the Alameda places closes at 1 and the other closes at 2? Yeah haha that's not gonna work. But I'm tempted to go to SF for Philz... expensive transit though, but then again so is the coffee itself. And with how much we're spending on food...yeah.
There's also apparently a Philz somewhat north of Rockridge, but meh.
@frost double checked and yeah, they both changed hours. I mean I haven’t hung out on the island since mid 2018 but that’s still a bit of a shock.
@frost yeah. Seattle wants you to either be in a bar, at a restaurant or at home after 5 for the most part. I tend to hang out in the Barnes and Noble cafe cause it’s the place between work and my apartment, open till 8. I think the coffee places open later are mostly u district.
@Leucrotta huh. Blurf.
... at Philz and holy crap they made our coffee INSTANTLY
they apparently thought I said iced, oops! "medium iced" instead of "medium size"...
@Leucrotta This is GOOD coffee!
Looks like all the tables are taken so we're on a couch.
@Leucrotta Picked up a new $20 wireless mouse for coffeeshopping, because the one we had was $5 bargain bin trash.
And lemme tell you this is SO MUCH BETTER. It's still a little small, but it's not bad, and the size means it's packable. And it's /dead silent/ (its main selling point) so if we play an FPS game in the coffee shop we won't annoy people!
@Leucrotta Closing early, y'mean?
Yeppp. Even the LIBRARY is pretty bad about that. Closes at like 5:30 or some shit on Friday and the weekends, and the Berkeley one is 5-6 all the time. Like, WTF, are people not allowed to have public spaces?
