at this point I need to hire someone _to help me hire and supervise_ folks for home repair, maintenance, and renovation tasks that have exceeded my ability to handle.
my current plan is to spend the rest of the year (!) decluttering and discarding crap I never should have accumulated so there's less clutter to deal with, then hire a reputable interior design firm that is willing to do the entire project management part. "reputable" is important because I would have no effective defense against being ripped off, tbh.

@Leucrotta
potentially -- I'll let you know when I get far enough through the "decluttering" stage to seriously pursue this. if you have better ideas for what profession to look up than "interior decorator", or already know someone who actually does this professionally or who knows someone who does, I'm definitely interested. no rush, though -- the dejunking task definitely needs to happen first, can't be particularly outsourced beyond final haulaway, and that _is_ something I'm familiar and comfortable with.
thank you for the offer of help. 💙 I don't want to be a drain on your resources (cognitive, emotional, chronological, etc.) -- please don't get pulled too far into my mess.
