@Leucrotta Oof.
Would me telling you it's okay to say no help?
She's a coworker, not your boss, it's okay!
@frost it isn’t. We’re required to audit each other for accuracy. I literally can’t say no to any of this.
@Leucrotta OH. well THAT'S something different then, yikes.
@frost so she’ll just find a million different mistakes I need to fix NOW presented as obvious information, and I’ll have to figure out a way to depersonalize it as I can never do anything right with her and thus it isn’t relevant data about whether I’m any good at this job, will get kicked out, am a complete moron, etc etc
@frost maybe I can get it to where it doesn’t fuck me up like this week. I try very hard to do a good job at what’s been required and having any vague illusion of competency stripped from me is upsetting and reminiscent of the first 18 years of my life.
@Leucrotta *offers hugs if you'd like*...
...I wonder if it would also be better if it were framed as "let's make sure things are done right" rather than "CATCH you GETTING IT WRONG". (Unless it is already and your brain is just braining.)
@frost Oh hell yes. That's the thing about the adult world, though, they never treat it that way.
@Leucrotta They're SUPPOSED to be adults here! By definition! SMFH [shaking my fluffy head].
@Leucrotta Oof yikes yikes yikes.
