good morning!

I just wanna lie in bed

I want to lie in bed more but alas day job

I once again have a social weekend coming up

pity I don't have president's day off

no time for leisure, Ms. Error

I need to do laundry because I'm down to wearing pants

ok I can get used to taking 15 minutes or so to comb my hair after taking a shower

I'm also glad because with the bonnet, it straightens out my hair a lot

like I think you could think it was chemically straightened

but after running my pick through it, it's poofed out nice and frizzy

my bed hair looks more "kempt" than my combed hair lol

ok time to give an interview

ok time to head into the office

while I was getting pizza the car next to me was for a local Christian school and their mascot is apparently the Vikings which seems super weird for a Christian school

yes, let's honor ourselves in a particularly Christian context after people who literally killed Christians

ok let's see if I can get some work done in this hour and a bit under a half I have

probably should just have stayed at home but it's not my policy

having a bit of food coma response and I wish I had a girl to nap on

ok meeting time and then I'll have about an hour and a half more to get some stuff done before I have to leave for choir practice

which of course is another reason I should have just worked from home

but IDK I think I enjoy the bit of malicious compliance by coming in

so one of the things that make this especially pointless is that we're not all in the office so we have to have an online meeting

but we didn't get a room for the people who _are_ in the office

so of course multiple of us are in the office for this meeting and all talking to each other while other people are also having conversations, which very much does get picked up by mics

of course the big managers have offices so it's all fine for them

at least I get to enjoy the nice filtered air and free snacks and coffee

oh yeah, I forgot to mention that we're having an email train today at work where an overbroadly distributed email gets worse because everyone replies all "please take me off this list"

it's really just one of those things that will happen to the end of time no matter what company you're at I feel like

anyway, sudden divergence to prepare code I was sitting on for a PR because I realized there was very useful code that was just waiting for me to finish something else but could be helping people now

I'll have to do a merge at some point, but hopefully it'll be ok

I'm at about 30 minutes before I need to leave so I'm thinking if I just leave early

they had karaoke and we meet in a church so that's like the best acoustics I'll ever get to do karaoke in lol

also my music selection doesn't help me beat the allegations of being a time traveler

really at my heart I'm just a white guy from the 60s trying to impress the girl from the secretaries' pool he's sweet on with his hi fi

guessing from names, we're up to India

on one hand it's beautiful and inspiring to think I'm involved with a shared project with people literally spread across the planet
