Though the Saturday #Pathfinder2e game I was running fizzled out, I found a new group for Friday nights and was asked to run a #CurseOfStrahd #dnd5e game. I prefer Paizo to the coastly wizards, but it's an excuse to roll dice.
I met all the players tonight, they seem both experienced and accommodating, and we got through Session 0 and character creation. We agreed to start at third level, and skip the intro adventure, since 3/4 of them had run through it before with other false start games, replacing it with narration.
We'll meet second and fourth Fridays, with possible in between on a case by case basis.
I'm going ahead with planning, prepping, and quite a bit of reading ahead.
@thorgrit Both of them are relatively okay roles for how the dude worked; he showed up, was tall (literally the tallest actor for a while), deep voiced, and an expert fencer when needed. Playing Dracula for Hammer Films was sort of how he made rent for a while.
@Leucrotta I'm unfamiliar with his performances other than Dookoo Starwars and Sorrowman Lotr; I've actually avoided all manner of horror movies altogether, except for I think evil dead 1/2/medi
so that's either an interesting blank slate to try to set moods or I'm so inexperienced I'll fumble it
there was one movie I was recommended to watch to try to help me get the feel but I've forgotten it; I thought it was monster house but that's a 2006 cg mocap movie where I thought the one I was rec'd was an 70s-90s pseudo B movie
