What's a fun fact about you?

Here's one about me:

When I was 19, I wanted to go to my first furry convention, and some very kind friends wanted to pay my way to go to Anthrocon. This was in 2001. I knew my parents would never let me go, they were conservative and Christian and very strict about who I was allowed to meet up with.

At the time, I was making digital music under the name DJ Vix-n. ( https://www.furaffinity.net/user/djvixn ) I figured out a plan, and put it in motion.

First, I created a fake email address, anthroconstaff at hotmail.com or something like that. Then I wrote myself an email saying that thanks to my contribution of music to the furry community, I was being awarded a trip to Anthrocon by the Anthrocon staff.

I showed my parents this email. They wanted to make sure my flight (the one my friends had bought me) was legit, so after I got the ticket info they called the airline to make sure it was real. With that verified, they agreed to let me go.

I went, and y'all, it was magical. I made a lot of friends, attended a dance and danced my heart out, and called my parents every night to let them know I wasn't dead. My first furcon was an absolute blast.

My ruse went perfectly, without a single hitch. My parents had no idea I lied my way to Anthrocon until I told them many years later.
