politics and old discontents
So today I found out about the Tambov Revolution and associated left wing uprisings (other than the Makhnovists whom I’d already known about) against the Soviet government under *Lenin*.
These were very much tied to murderous grain collection policies. And yet I’ve heard of the Holodomor, not these. Are we getting a filtered view of things, as the chief villains of the Holodomor are already established as bad guys, and their victims had no socialist/anarchist ties?

And of course *my* natural inclination is to accuse others of anti-semitism, as you don’t hear about the Holodomor without Kaganovich’s ethnicity being screamed at you; but Trotsky was instrumental in putting down these earlier uprisings. Which is why I think here it’s the right wing bias of downplaying leftists plus the left wing lionizations of both Lenin and Trotsky.
