Dear Process Luna.

Pony mane is not, nor should it be, used as a substitute for printer filament.

Not even once.

Not even 'just the tip'.

Your faithful student,
Fandango Encore

Ps. Please send another Pinkamena.

So, what has actually happened here is the nozzle and the throat elements have separated under heat, allowing pressurized Pinkamena - er, pink PLA filament at 220°C - to ooze out and coat the heating element atop and bottom, caramelizing slightly.

No biggie. Going to clean it off, then retighten with the block *at* temperature, allow to cool, then reassemble. Should solve that problem, and possibly address a minor print issue I noticed.
