Theory: Since a polygon can have an infinite number of sides, that means any word ending in "gon" is effectively a specific type of polygon.

@mawr Three: 'drei' from the German meaning 'three,' and 'gon' from the Greek, meaning 'not many around here anymore'. The three sides of a dragon are their insides, outsides, and backsides. n.n
