why are werewolves always depicted as having..coarse, tough, bristly or scraggly fur?
It's all fresh growth every time they transform, shouldn't it be silky and plush?

@Edelwood Ah, but you never see thick piles of were fur around when they change back. It doesn't shed - it retracts. That fur's the same fur they had *last* time they were'd out: they've been holding it in the whole time. So it's all matted and strained and, well, if it wasn't for the pores wiping it clean it'd be a total gore-show.

It's actually terrifying when you think about it. >.O
