Sometimes I feel disconnected from some of the challenges that Transgirls face because I can pass as Male and go inviz.
Then I think back on how I was raised and realize I was basically groomed to be a girl by my mom.
@Motodrachen Just dealing with the complexity of a gender identity that isn't cis and binary itself presents lots of challenges before you even get around to dealing with how society treats folks it perceives as trans women
@Motodrachen I feel that. I had a lot of experiences that led me to feel like "men = bad, must get rid of any Man in Self" and while that was maybe an important excercise that helped me rid myself of many bad habits and perspectives, I'm glad i've come back around to having a more... nuanced perspective on gender and the ability for all genders to be valid, like, there's a good way to be any gender, you know?
@Motodrachen It's not always as straightforward as being a binary trans woman who is always presenting a certain way. There's a whole spectrum of trans/nonbinary/gender-nonconforming experiences that are -all- valid, even if the challenges are different at times.
