@clipclopboom@snouts.online *Keri glances back at Yaori's Patton*
See... There's a Thing though. In a dream, Yaori got a magic sword from a Spirit, but she keeps it on a Shelf and prefers old US milsurp. Why? Probably because for Her, it represents symbols of a time and a place where righteousness and power intersected closely enough for government work.
Yaori: The symbol of absolute authority used to be the Sword and the Horse. Now it's the Shaped Charge and the roar of an engine. It is both the Thing, and what is represented by the Thing. The way a Tiger Tank is, the way a Luger Pistol is, the way an AK is both the thing it is, and it's own Brand. Everything is Memes and Brands, we just give them different names as time goes by.
The Bomber is... A powerful symbol, though. Freedom, Responsibility, Family, Purpose. The slowest fast thing. Fragile, but nowhere near defenseless.
And when it's job is done, it's all at once. The bomber either makes it to it's target or it doesn't. And then you've gotta get home.
...You need to find someone with a Spitfire.
