gender

For me, (neutrois) dragon is a different gender than (neutrois) human. One is mine, the other is not. The scene about Data's name seems relatable here.

There's also a very synthetic and squishy aspect to mine, but accounting for all the missed details wouldn't fit in a simple word or phrase.

Adding to this, being median fits into all this too. It wears me down trying to pack all of myself into a single, static form. I'm already not good at compartmentalizing things, but not having as much of me present in the moment only makes that worse, too.

It's not precisely the same as genderfluid, because it's a simultaneous need for a range of selves to be expressed. I'm both one and many dragons.

@Tathar I feel ya on that one. Of course I'm full blown multiple systems, so it's a very Tohri feel.
Like Neither and Both occupy the same space, and can't resolve into anything Binary.

Yeah, I don't have the experience of a multiple system to draw on, but I think that's because I'm can't compartmentalize myself either. I can look inward, and not only do my selves change and trade parts of themselves with each other, there's often a different number of them at any given moment. Each of them are me, which is why I use singular pronouns in a collective sense.

There's surely more than one way to be median. For me, it's like a chorus of thoughts in my head.

Thinking of hydras in a metaphorical sense now.

@Motodrachen

I had to look that name up, but I didn't mean that in a literal sense. Each of me has their own self-image in full, even if it changes a lot. It's more like a hive mind of dragons.
