Random gender rumination
Keri: Men and Women really do speak in two different languages, and TBH, it's the most important thing about your gender presentation.
This was driven solidly home by the fact that I can be in possession of the meatsuit, and it doesn't matter how masc the rest is coded, it's enough to jam the signal for most people.
Like, to the point a bit of nail polish and some feminine coded clothing is enough to overcome the Beard's influence.
Tried it stone cold on some Boomers too. I was out, and I'm an Extrovert with a capital F, and I struck up a conversation with a boomer couple. The man was uncomfortable, but the Wife bubbled away with me all the way in about Nothing, because she was happy someone was around who spoke the same language.
It's still English, Mind you. There's just so much that goes on under the surface that you don't Recognize it, unless you've Also got a guy living in your head, who speaks Male. *Her eye twitches* Don't get me started on masculine language, most of it's some kinda profanity one way or another.
